Hubli (Karnataka) is where me and my family are from. We are a family of six, four kids myself and my husband. In the current situation if given a choice we would not return to our home. From the point of safety, it is much safer to be here. On the other hand, the option to get hold of food items would be much better in Hubli. Obviously, the support of family members would also be there, still we would prefer to be in a safer zone which in the current scenario is right here in Goa.

The labours class are the ones suffering the most, others suffer too but the lower class was not able to purchase many food products. Now it is much better but initially, the shops did not have any food items. It is still easier for adults to deal with the situation, but I feel sad for the children’s suffering.

With the virus not just here but around the world, one could see it as the gods being upset with us. Even the things we humans do to each other and to mother earth has surpassed the tolerance of the gods. So, it is surely the gods punishing us in their own way.

Pink and Red are the colours I associate to home. More Pink, it feels closer towards home. - Yasmin Banu Killedar (Housekeeper by profession)
